California Culinary Retreats weekends are all inclusive. That means all your meals and drinks, your cooking classes, accommodations, materials, and take home items are included in the price. All you have to do is get yourself to your retreat, and leave the rest to us!

The Weekend in Brief

California and the Mediterranean share beautiful produce, olive oil & lots and lots of sunshine. We will take full advantage of California’s summer harvest. We will work with phyllo dough, and make fresh saffron pappardelle. We'll make chicken souvlaki and assorted mezze spreads and flatbreads.

All classes will begin with an overview lecture and then move to cooking in the kitchen. We will enjoy making flatbread in our on-site, outdoor, wood-burning oven on Saturday, and will dine together at beautifully set tables under the stars. When you are not cooking you are free to relax, go for a hike, or go wine tasting in the charming town of Los Olivos - your choice.

The retreat begins on Friday afternoon between 4 - 6pm, and we will conclude our weekend Sunday after a leisurely brunch.
